CICO or Clock-In/Clock-out feature helps both the healthcare professional, CareLinx, and the partner facility with time and attendance. The clock-in and clock-out feature:

  • Gives healthcare professionals the ability to clock-in and clock-out to start and end their shift.

  • Provides documentation of the healthcare professional’s work.

  • Gives the Nurse Account Manager the visibility to see the healthcare professional’s location at the beginning and end of shift.

Step 1: Go to your Care Plan and click 'START CLOCK-IN'

Make sure to check if the schedule & assigned facility is correct.

As soon as you click 'START CLOCK-IN' the clock will start running.

Step 2: Allow access to your location on your device.

The first time that you clock-in, you will be prompted to allow CareLinx to access your location. If you accidentally click 'Don't Allow' or 'Deny', you can click the link below for steps on how to allow access to your location. (See: How to turn on GPS location)

Step 3: Confirm the details of your clock-in.

It may take several seconds for your location to be detected. Wait for the map to appear before clicking 'YES, START'.

Step 4: Add notes to your clock-in (optional).

You can add any notes here that you would like your Nurse Account Manager or corresponding facility to see.

Step 5: During your lunch break, go back to your Care Plan and click 'STOP.'

As soon as you’re done with your break, you can clock in again & continue your shift.

Step 6: At the end of your shift, go back to your Care Plan and click ‘STOP’. Confirm the details of your clock-out.

Step 7: Add notes to your clock-out (optional).

Congratulations! You've completed your first clock-in & clock-out!
